Description:- Rufus is a utility that helps to format and create bootable USB flash drives like USB keys/pendants, flash drives etc. It can be especially useful in cases where:- • You need to create a USB installation media from a bootable ISO. (Windows, Linux, UEFI, etc.) • you need to work on a system with no OS installed • you need to update BIOS or other firmware from DOS • you want to use a low-level utility small size, Rufus provides everything you need! And Rufus is fast. For example, it is about twice as fast as UNetboot, Universal USB Installer, or the Windows 7 USB boot tool when creating a Windows 7 USB installation drive from an ISO. It’s also slightly faster at creating a Linux bootable USB from an ISO. (1) There is also a list of ISOs supported by Rufus at the bottom of this page.
